With miles of golden sands, lovely walks, and relaxed on-park entertainment, Cresswell Towers Holiday Park at Druridge Bay in Northumberland is the ideal family holiday location.
Beautiful Druridge Bay is just a short walk from the park and is perfect for lazy strolls or rockpooling adventures.
Cresswell Towers offers a heated indoor pool, arcades, Boathouse bar and restaurant, Takeaway, and Costa Coffee.
The Caravan itself is located a short walk from the complex as well as the nearby beach. The owners have included lots of additional sensory toys that complement our Spectrum Pack, which will be available for you to use throughout your stay.
There are 3 bedrooms, 1 double with ensuite, 1 double, and 1 twin room and can accommodate up to 6 people. The kitchen is well stocked with all the catering utensils needed for a self catering holiday, including tea and coffee. The lounge area is spacious with 2 free standing sofas and patio doors leading to a decked area. There is also ramped access to the front door.
At Cresswell Towers you’ll find yourself nestled at the edge of a stunning six mile stretch of beach, with fantastic facilities, entertainment, and amenities to ensure your stay is packed with fun activities and access to everything you’ll need for a memorable break.
The park has a heated indoor swimming pool, perfect for a relaxing dip, or to let the kids have a splash around, while the outdoor playground and sports court are great for enjoying the fresh air with some energetic activity. For some casual fun pop into the amusements room and try your hand at the great games on offer.
There is a washing machine and table dryer in the storage container outside of the caravan which is free to use for guests. A highchair and travel cot is also provided should you require them.
Wi-Fi is available on park. Please see here for more information on the park’s Wi-Fi service. There’s also a Nisa convenience store on the park, meaning you can easily grab all the essentials you’ll need.
Cresswell Towers is a Park Dean holiday park and is a popular location for families and there will be noises associated with a busy holiday park.
Passes will need to be purchased to access activities.
The bar is pet friendly until 8pm.
The caravan is family owned and there may be unopened food items in the cupboards which you are welcome to use.
You will need to supply your own towels.
There is a driveway outside the caravan for 1 car. There is a car park a few hundred meters from the van for additional vehicles
New fire regulations regarding external doors may mean that the holiday home Is not suitable for disabled people
Cleaning materials, linen, Tea, Coffee, air fryer, children’s toys, and sensory toys. Our Spectrum Pack is also available for families to use and includes a range of handheld sensory toys, blackout blind, light toys, and visual resources.
We understand that preparing an autistic person for a holiday can sometimes be challenging. At Spectrum Holidays we are always looking for ways to make this process easier. We design bespoke, personalised visual stories and countdown calendars for every person that would benefit from additional preparation for their holiday.
Inside the Spectrum Pack you will also find a set of visuals to help support you while on holiday, there is also a “now, next, later” travel keyring to take out and about with you as you visit the local area.

Newbiggin Maritime Centre – 13 min drive
Newbiggin Maritime Centre is an accessible, all weather family attraction, open all year. Discover life in a historic fishing village through the Mary Joicey and Girl Anne interactive exhibitions and varying range of thought provoking exhibits. The Newbiggin Maritime Centre is passionate about offering engaging, creative and unique learning activities. Nearby is the longest promenade in Northumberland plus the iconic Lifeboat Station, the UK’s oldest operational boathouse. There is a great playpark adjacent to the centre, as is a sandy beach with rock pools, registered as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Newbiggin Beach – 2 min walk
This sleepy, coastal town is known for the idyllic beach that makes for excellent evening strolls, striking sunrises that will take your breath away and myriad of marine life that regularly graces Newbiggin Bay with its presence
Woodhorn Museum – 9 min drive
Woodhorn Museum is a great attraction for the whole family, with plenty of hands on activities, some blockbuster exhibitions, and a great events programme. It is located in a delightful country park with a lake at its heart, and it is possible to walk or cycle around the lake, with public access from the museum end and the northern approach. There’s a cafe too!
Druridge Bay – 15 min drive
This stunning seven mile stretch of beach runs from bustling Amble to peaceful Cresswell, where the Northumberland Coast Path begins. As well as a pristine sandy beach, there are sand dunes and pools to explore and the 100-acre Ladyburn Lake fringed by picturesque woodland and tranquil meadows.
Warkworth Beach – 23 min drive
Whether you’ve come here to sunbathe, play beach games or simply to go for a long, bracing walk, there’s always going to be plenty of space. The water quality here is very good. The beach is home to Northside Surf School, who offer surfing lessons every day of the year, catering for all levels of ability
Whitehouse Farm – 24 min drive
Whitehouse is a great place for families, school and group visits of all ages enabling visitors to see, handle and feed a wide variety of animals from traditional breeds to more unusual and exotic species.
There really is something for everyone, as well as animals & activities, there’s indoor & outdoor play areas to discover and explore, so it’s always farmtastic fun whatever the weather!!
Warkworth Castle – 19 min drive
Be king or queen for the day in this mighty Northumberland fortress crowning the hilltop above the River Coquet. Enjoy a day out and see how the powerful Dukes of Northumberland, the Percy family lived. Explore the floors and rooms in the magnificent cross-shaped keep which was once home to ‘Harry Hotspur’, immortalised as a rebel lord by Shakespeare, and bane of Scottish raiders. See spectacular river and coastal views from the castle walls.
Northumberland zoo – 18 min drive
Home to over 80 species from tiny Harvest Mice to fluffy Snow Leopards, Northumberland Zoo is the perfect place to visit on a day out.

There is a 7 night minimum stay (Fri/Sat) in place during Easter, Summer, and October half term, with prices starting from £850
To secure a booking there is a deposit of £100 and full payment plus a refundable bond of £100 would be due 4 weeks before arrival.
