Step inside, and you will find an open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area – perfect for socialising. Down the hall is the downstairs bedroom, which offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a zip link bed, which can be set up as twins or a super king, and has patio doors opening onto the pretty garden
Upstairs, you’ll find a stunning mezzanine bedroom with a king-size bed. The two bedrooms share the ground floor family shower room.
Both bedrooms are furnished with luxurious linens and sumptuous bedding.
The cottage is on a quiet public footpath, with views from the garden over the local countryside.
Please note that the mezzanine bedroom has a balcony overlooking the main living area, so it has limited privacy and is unsuitable for small children to be left unattended.
The historic Welbeck estate is nestled within Sherwood Forest in north Nottinghamshire. Wonderful country walks straight from the door and a great central location for exploring Rufford, Newstead, Clumber, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall.
A Spectrum Pack of Sensory Toys and equipment is available for your use and includes: a selection of handheld fidget toys, sensory light toys, sensory play mats, mirrors, and visual resources.

The exterior doors have thumb turner locks
The garden is surrounded by hedgerow, and fencing that can be climbed.
The bedroom doors are fitted with internal thumb-turn locks. In the event that a child accidentally locks themselves inside, an emergency lock opener is provided to allow the door to be unlocked quickly from the outside.

There is a 2 night minimum stay in place for Short Croft Cottage with a Monday arrival day. Friday arrivals require a 3 night minimum stay.
To secure a reservation there is a 30% non refundable deposit with the remaining balance due 4 weeks before arrival.
Prices will fluctuate throughout the year and prices for a short stay at Short Croft Cottage start at £483. Discounts and special offers may be available at certain times of the year.
